So the Italian melodic death metal band Gigantomachia presents its latest single: Asterion, now available on all digital platforms.
The song boasts the contribution of a very special guest: the mastering-engineer Ted Jensen (Sterling Sound – USA), who has recently dealt with the mastering of Gojira’s latest album, “Fortitude”.
Asterion talks about a monster that lurks inside each of us. The band explains: “Since ancient times, monsters have been identified as abominations, terrifying creatures, as offspring of evil. But what do we really know about them? The real monster is often inside our ego. Asterion is born during a historical period in wich the whole world was bent on itself and devoured by a great evil: covid-19. An evil that has brought to the surface a monster always present and with a devastating power: depression. ”
The orchestrations of the track are arranged by Lorenzo Stelitano (Amthrya, Hopeless).
